Parent/Guardian Consultations/Advocacy Services

SPEDADV also provides Consultation Services, in lieu of direct advocacy services, for parents/guardians.  Consultation services educate parents/guardians about:

• State and Federal special education and disability laws that apply to your child

• Your child's Individual Educational Program/IEP

• Special education services that should be provided to your child through their IEP

• Evaluations to consider - both within the school district and outside of the school district

• The importance of data collection to show your child's progress or regression in school

• Positive Behavior Support System
